If starting the WWW service returns the following error: 'System error 127', then it may be due to a corrupt IIS metabase. Try removing...then reinstalling the WWW service from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows Components -> IIS services. You may then need to configure the web site in the IIS Admin tool.
