After extensive testing and guidance from Oracle support resources, it was determined that Oracle XE 10g is not supported on Windows 2008 R2. This is because Oracle XE 10g is a 32-bit product and Windows 2008 R2 is only available in 64-bit.
Customers wishing to upgrade to Windows 2008 R2 must also upgrade to a version of Oracle that specifically supports this OS. Please contact
